Favoring urban mobility, for a beter quality of life, thanks to ecologically-sound methods of transport. To improve the conditions of urban mobility, Lohr are enhancing their product range with a latest-generation tram: the Translohr.

This range of trams contains some major innovations: the carriages are light and fully modular, not very demanding in terms of the surface area they require, electrically operated and reversible, and with one major feature: they run on tyres.

This feature gives the Translohr the smallest turning circle of any tram currently available and allows it to climb step slopes and blend in with the winding urban landscape by closely following the topography of the area.

The Translohr tram is content to run on existing urban roads. There is no need for heavy construction, since its infrastructure consists of a single rail, fitted flush with the road.

Passengers and pedestrians alike are attracted by its creative design on a human scale, by its unobtrisive integration into city streets and by its silent running. Its very low access points allow children and adults alike to enter into a transparent and rounded interior.

Equipped with many ingenious features, it can convey the modern traveller in total comfort.

All Lohr’s ewpertise has been focused on details, making this tram a veritable tool four urban renewal, at a time when municipal authorities are taking a fresh look at their town centres.
